This will be painless...
It's our number one goal to make you sound your best and make your Music Business Radio experience a pleasant one. We do shows weekly and haven't had a bad one yet. Still, some people get nervous at the thought of stumbling over an answer, stuttering, or going blank.
This is just radio...not world peace. And it's not even "live" radio. The show is taped, so if there is something you're not happy with, we can simply do it over.
Seriously, it's no big deal to fix things. Just ask Justin (Editor) about the work he does to make David (Host) sound good.
And if that doesn't set you at ease...
The Pre-Show Process
Remember, our top priority is to make you sound great. A lot of this happens before you show up at the studio to record the show...
1. Once you're booked to come in, David will be in touch via phone/email to go over possible topics and questions for the show. Don't be afraid to mention exactly what topics you want to discuss or questions which you'd like to be asked.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure we have your contact information.
2. You'll meet with David and Gary for a quick, 30-minute meeting right before we go into the studio to go over how you'll be introduced, a general outline of the show, and other last minute details, such as dates, names, or specific details about you and your field of expertise.
And when we're done with that, it's off to...
The Recording Process
1. We'll walk from the Tuned In Broadcasting offices down the hall to where we record the show. You'll meet our engineer, Dan, and he'll put a mic in front of your mouth.
2. We'll roll the tape, David will ask you questions, and you'll answer them. If either of you mess up, Dan will roll the tape back and redo that part.
3. The final section of the show is called "Dave's Demo Derby" and is a lot like what you probably do on a daily basis. Music Business Radio listeners from around the world send us demos, we open up their packages during the show, and play the music right there "on the air." You and David will then make comments, good and bad, based on what you hear.
That's it! You'll listen to a few songs, David will wrap up the show, and you'll be on your way.
After the Show
1. Justin edits the show to make things flow smoothly and get the content to 54 minutes.
2. The show airs on the radio.
3. A downloadable version of the show is posted via the Music Business Radio blog.
4. You get a lot of calls from old friends you haven't spoken to for a while who want to rub shoulders with you because you sounded so great.
5. You get a ton of new business from Music Business Radio listeners who were introduced to you via our broadcast.
